Stratégie mondiale pour la santé des femmes et des enfants – Lancement du Rapport Innovations – Automne 2011
October 2nd, 2011
The ‘Global Strategy for Women’s and Children’s Health’ sets out how we can work together to save women and children. The document was developed under the auspices of the United Nations General-Secretary, Ban Ki-moon, with support and facilitation by The Partnership for Maternal, Newborn & Child Health. The Global Strategy was launched at the time of the UN Leaders’ Summit for the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in 2010, with some US $ 40 billion pledged towards women’s and children’s health and the achievement of MDGs 4 & 5 – to reduce child mortality and improve maternal health.
In this section of the PMNCH web, (http://www.who.int/pmnch/activities/jointactionplan/en/index.html) find the Global Strategy documents, press releases, reports from Consultations, commitments and relevant links. As well, find a link to more information on the Commission on Information and Accountability, created in January 2011 to track commitments to the Global Strategy.
